Photos at Midnight

Long exposures, owls at three in the morning, and whatever the dark decides to give up.

Nº 01 — Why midnight

Everything gets more honest once the light stops being free.

I started shooting at night because it was the only time I had. Then I stayed because of what's out there — the sky doing something enormous and slow above a county road, a barn owl deciding whether I'm a problem, fog swallowing a street lamp whole.

Everything here is a long walk, a cold thermos and a lot of waiting. No composites, no borrowed skies. Just the frame and however many minutes it took.
